Roquinho was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the White Field Kennel of Katia Fernandes-Araujo. Sired by the Am. Brazil Champion Richelieu All Fired Up out of the Brazilian -Argentine bred mother. He finished his Brazilian Championship quickly with Group wins and reserve Best in Shows.
In 2000 Katia brought Roquinho to the American Maltese Assn National Show in Las Vegas .There handled by Katia's brother Wagner Fernandes he was awarded Best Bred By in Show and Best of Winners. He remained in California to completed his American Championship in 5 shows with all majors.
Roquinho contuining his promising career in the USA throughout 2000-2001 he sired several litters to Champion bitches with very promising puppies resulting in several finishing from puppy class. His producing ability was so impressive he was purchased by the Richelieu Maltese Kennels of Judy E. McQuiston in partnership with Pat Keen-Fernandes and her husband Wagner Fernandes. Roquinho began his Specials career in Jan 2002. In the first 3 months he became a multi-Group winner and then was All-Breed Best in Show at the Sun Maid Kennel Club March 24,2002 in California. a multi group winner and Best in Show in addition to Award of Merit at the National and Westminster Kennel Clubs
Roquinho will remain in the care & presentation of Pat & Wagner Fernandes until his retirement in 2009 where he lived out his final years in Brazil with his breeder until age 15 plus.
He brought a positive pedigree siring many wonderful Maltese champions who became top winning Maltese in America.
